Our story
Hislop Business Solutions was set up by Michelle Hislop after many years of working for others, to give small and medium-sized businesses the kind of financial support that makes running a business easier, not harder.
Experienced and qualified to support your business
With over 8 years of hands-on payroll services experience and more than 15 years’ experience in accountancy, Michelle brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to her clients. She is professionally qualified with a Level 4 Diploma in Accounting through the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) and holds an AAT practice licence, so you receive expert guidance backed by recognised credentials.
We are QuickBooks ProAdvisor and FreeAgent certified.
Local and remote
Based in Larkhall, South Lanarkshire, we provide both local and remote support, including comprehensive bookkeeping services, guidance and training, payroll services and tax services, including Making Tax Digital.
Why I started the business
I started Hislop Business Solutions to support small and medium-sized businesses with the financial side of running a business. Over the years, I have seen many business owners become overwhelmed with paperwork just as their businesses begin to grow. My goal is to take that pressure away so you can focus on what you do best.
How I work
The first step is always a conversation. I take time to understand what your business offers, how you deliver your services or products, the people involved, and the type and structure of your business. Every business is unique, so I tailor my services to meet your exact needs, from a simple year-end accounts check and submission to full bookkeeping support, process streamlining and everything in between.
I stay in regular contact using your preferred communication method and keep you updated while I work on your accounts, so you always know what is happening. You should never feel like you are bothering me.
